Position Summary
829 Studios is seeking an Organic Social Media Strategist to support the agency’s digital marketing clients. The Organic Social Strategist has a passion and enthusiasm for the digital landscape and is a creative and strategic thinker. In this role, you will be responsible for ideation, strategy, planning and implementation of social media and influencer marketing initiatives across multiple social platforms. You will also extract insights from performance reports to inform strategic recommendations for campaign concepts, content optimizations and future social media initiatives.
This team member works closely and cross-functionally to execute on high-impact social media and influencer marketing initiatives. You will be developing 360° social media and influencer strategies, establishing and maintaining influencer and client relationships on behalf of the agency, and managing campaign execution that builds awareness and drives performance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Bring your passion and enthusiasm for the digital landscape - you're a creative and strategic thinker, and can confidently own presentations and client deliverables from start to finish
- Keep up to date on the best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why
- Build digital media campaigns in social platforms-experienced in leveraging Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Blogs
- Design, develop and implement international influencer marketing tools:
- Influencer Proposal & Strategy Decks
- Campaign Briefs
- Partnership & Seeding Guidelines
- Develop content marketing strategy plans, content calendars, and process documents for assigned clients
- Create and craft content ideas and target audience persona insights backed by research
- Work closely with the digital & paid media teams to ensure social media and influencer campaigns are leveraged and amplified across client’s marketing channels
- Conduct performance reporting, insight gathering, and optimization recommendations will be required on an ongoing basis (experience with Google Analytics a must)
- Contribute ideas, create content, and help plan initiatives
- Oversee day-to-day budget management and influencer payments
- Track, analyze, and monitor monthly influencers coverage results, identifying key insights to optimize brand strategy
- Create valuable, original, relatable, timely, insightful, and memorable pieces of owned content in the following formats – longform, short form (social media posts, email, text, phone, reviews, user generated content), and visual (photography, animated GIFs, memes, video, infographics)
- Conduct competitive and user research through workshops, user testing, exercises, surveys, and any other format that gets you the insights you need. You have expert command of a "toolkit" that you can reference based on the needs of a project.
- Maintain and ensure that best practices are being followed. Proactively identify opportunities to improve and evolve processes, offerings, and deliverable formats.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of relevant agency or in-house experience - agency preferred
- Skilled in writing, critical thinking, communication, presentation, and analytical abilities
- Experience managing or mentoring/leading 1 - 2 direct reports
- Strongly motivated and proactive in nature
- Strategic marketing mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create the best quality version of it
- Experience setting up and maintaining social channels and familiarity with native platform reporting.
- Understanding of paid social media and targeting
- Experience with social analytics and reporting
- Experience with Google Analytics
- The ability to problem-solve, confidently make decisions and lead projects with empathy and authority
- Demonstrated success in implementing influencer marketing campaigns
- Track record of developing successful working relationships with influencers and negotiating fair rates for campaign deliverables
- Experience with organic and paid content creation and publishing
- Experience implementing testing strategies within social channels
- Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, meet client deadlines, and experience with a project management system
