Paid Search Lead Strategist
The Paid Search Lead Strategist position is a senior level, client-facing role within 829’s Marketing Services department. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, a great communicator, analytical, and willing to go the extra mile to get your work completed at a high level. You’ll manage a portfolio of our largest, enterprise clients, executing campaigns and coordinating with colleagues across marketing disciplines to drive collective success.
This role provides the opportunity not only to dive deep into paid ads, but also learn on a broader scope about different areas of 829’s marketing business. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior colleagues and peers - and if interested - manage direct reports over time. We’re growing fast and seeking passionate marketers who want to grow with our team and organization.
What You’ll Do
- Strategize, develop, and simultaneously maintain multiple digital advertising campaigns for a portfolio of enterprise sized businesses.
- Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns as they relate to client goals, conversions, and events.
- Update clients regularly as to the status of their digital initiatives.
- Prepare client deliverables from project kickoff documents to rolling reporting.
- Develop and outline projections and forecasting for client executive teams early and continuously within engagements.
- Advise clients on how to best accomplish their business goals through digital advertising.
- Present effectively to day to day client POCs as well as client executive and board team members, tailoring presentations respectively to different levels within their organization.
- Serve as a technical resource to other departments, committees, and your peers.
- Conceptualize, vocalize, and implement departmental process improvements.
- Assist with candidate interviews and the departmental hiring process.
- Onboard, coach, and supervise one or more junior reports, if interested.
- advertising programs, preferably in an agency setting.
- Thorough understanding of various paid advertising tool sets such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Docs.
- Deep understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hubspot Analytics, or similar.
- Understanding of landing page best practices and optimization techniques.
- Experience with project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.com.
- Experience with pixeling and conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager or other means.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Google Data Studio, NinjaCat, TapClicks, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience juggling multiple projects and paid advertising campaigns simultaneously.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS.
- Bing Ads certification(s).
- Programmatic experience.
- Experience training and mentoring more junior team members.
