Position Summary:
829 Studios is seeking a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented PR Intern to join our growing team. This role is designed for a rising professional looking to gain hands-on agency experience across a diverse portfolio of clients, from healthcare to fashion.
As a PR Intern, you will work closely with PR Specialists & Strategists to support the execution of media and influencer strategies, draft compelling content, compile creator targets and assist in securing high-impact press coverage. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of integrated digital marketing while developing the foundational skills necessary for a successful career in public relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Relations Support: Assist in researching and building comprehensive media lists and editorial calendars using industry tools.
- Influencer Research: Conduct research to identify and vet influencer targets across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Content Creation: Draft and edit initial versions of pitches, press releases, and media alerts tailored to various client voices.
- Media Monitoring: Conduct daily monitoring of industry news and client coverage; assist in compiling detailed reporting and competitor analysis.
- Pitching Assistance: Support the PR team in identifying trending news hooks and reaching out to media outlets.
- Awards Research: Research upcoming industry awards or speaking opportunities for clients.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage deadlines for award submissions and help maintain organized project folders and internal documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

- Research Prowess: Ability to quickly synthesize information and identify relevant media trends.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency with Google Workspace/Slack; familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Mindset: A "can-do" attitude, a passion for brand storytelling, and an eagerness to learn from experienced PR professionals.

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $20
We determine compensation based on experience, demonstrated skills, and current market conditions at the time of hire to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. Actual compensation will depend on experience and may be adjusted based on skills, qualifications, and alignment with the scope and impact of the role.
